No Treat

I read in the park
And wait for dark
So I can go hide
In the bushes where I reside
You know it’s not the best
Of that I can attest
For there are nights I get wet
While other nights I sweat
Some nights the bugs bite
Until it gets light
Still other nights I shiver
As I try to sleep by the river
Man, you know it’s no treat
Living on the street
